New message notification should show "Display Name" and not the contact username

When we receive a notification that a new message has arrived, it would be more useful to see the display name (i.e., the nickname we gave the contact) instead of the username. With multiple contacts, it's difficult to distinguish between SDFJYHK@ODIN and SHDDFHD@ODIN.
Alternatively, give the user a choice as to what should be displayed in the notification (Display name vs username).

Optional is better. But leaving user name on a server doesn't make the app truly anonymous. One might use his or her real life nick name which is just as good as saving ones real name. The aim of ODIN CHAT should be "THE GOVERNMENT HATES ME BECAUSE I AM USING ODIN CHAT".

While I agree with you, the current implementation requires notifications to be pushed from the server which has information about local contact details (such as a display name). I'll leave this post here though as maybe we can determine a workaround solution in the future!
